[Alert] How To Gain More Authority & Traffic When Someone Copies Your Content ?

How would you feel, if I tell you that someone can take up your content and use it to promote their network without attributing you in their  shares?   You do the research & invest your precious time in getting your idea to a perfect layout but someone else is enjoying the benefits of your hard earned work. They can even use your article to generate income/get the leads/other benefits etc.

The simple strategy which I explain you here will help you much more than what you think. It can

  • Help You Get More Authority

  • Address The Copy Paste Issues

  • Improve Your Search Engine Ranking

  • Generate Additional Traffic Through Social Referrals

  • Increase Your Social Media Presence

  • Allows You To Promote Your Brand

This takes me to introduce you to Tynt which helps in addressing the copy paste issues.

   Tynt – Overview

Tynt allows you to track the user activity on your blog/website and in case if the user tries to do a copy paste action, it automatically adds a back link to your original source site. This way you get properly attributed for your content and moreover you also get free backlinks to your article/website.  It also helps you to get more traffic when someone clicks your link present in the copied article.

Tynt supports several platforms like Blogger/Blogspot, Ning Networks, WordPress, Joomla, WebsiteWorks, Registered, TypePad, MediaWiki, iWeb & Tumblr. It is a simple javascript code which has to be added just before closing the header tag in your html code.

Note : The only disadvantage which I see right now(i.e in step 2) , is that you have to enable ads on your blog. These ads will be shown accordingly to the user and if any user clicks them, you shall get your revenue share .  I chose to run ads only on Tablets because users accessing this blog  through Tabs are very less and hence that doesn’t create any kind of issues.

3. Click Here To Get Your Code (we are using the wordpress platform)
4. Login To Your WordPress Admin Dashboard > Appearance > Editor > Header template
5. Add the javascript code to your blog, just before closing the header tag and click on “Update”.

In case, if your wordpress theme provides you the ability to add codes in your theme settings, then add the javascript code to the part which gets updated in the header code.

If you want to block Tynt or you don’t require Tynt to add any attribution link during copy paste, you can simply opt-out by clicking here.

Note : The users who have copied your content may be able to edit & remove the source url, while paste action. But that doesn’t should be considered as an issue because, even though few of them do that, majority of the users oversee, while they are pasting this copied article & they do not delete the source url.

Also, please note that even though someone copies your content & provides a link back to your source, you still have every right to go against them if they have not  taken your permission to do the same.
